DEFENSE PROJECT MANAGER

TCN is a System Integrator operating in Albania, Western Balkans, in other European countries and NATO locations. TCN business lines are in the Defense and Security Air and Maritime Traffic Control, Public Safety, Telecommunications and IT.

TCN is a qualified and eligible NATO contractor, since 2010

In the context of business enhancing in Defense and Military projects, we shall employ experienced PROJECT MANAGER, able to perform independently and efficiently and lead the operational activities of the company in an international environment.

ROLE

 

Project Manager is generally responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.

Project Manager will report to the Program Manager or to the TCN Operations Director

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DPM will be responsible to fulfill the defined role by delivering high quality activities and strong results in coordinating and delivering multiple defense system projects of varying complexities. As a Project Manager, he/she will oversee project billing, job cost reporting, and ensure overall customer satisfaction, as follows:

  • Review project technical specifications, drawings, and documents to establish project
  • Support Design and Engineering phase
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying time-sensitive installation
  • Maintain all communications with Customer/End User
  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials required for project completion.
  • Participate in project cost reviews and assist in subcontractor solicitation and
  • Conduct project orientations for technicians, providing necessary documentation and
  • Track project resources and progress, documenting events impacting schedule and
  • Identify and pursue change-order opportunities for project-specific
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and sign Test Reports
  • Coordinate project billing and collaborate with the Accounting and Operations
  • Schedule commissioning resources and provide necessary
  • Facilitate as-built development by expediting the return of project mark-ups.
  • Complete project-specific close-out documentation
  • Participate in the Test and Commissioning (SAT) and sign the handover documents PAC, FAC,

 

 

MINIMUM-MANDATORY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS:

  • University Master Degree in electronic engineering, telecommunications, computer engineering, airspace engineering, industrial engineering, or similar,
  • 10 years of work experience, after completing of university studies; at least 8 years in technology related organizations
  • 3 years of Project Management; Minimum two technology projects completed successfully
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Ability to drive business initiative; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; managerial and organizational capabilities;
  • Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines;
  • Ability to integrate into multicultural environments
  • International Travel availability specially availability to travel in NATO and other European Countries
  • Driving License

 

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES / SKILLS:

 

  • Security Clearance
  • Military background
  • International Experience
  • Work Experience with defense, NATO, security or public safety projects;
  • Experience with large international system manufacturers or companies
  • Experience with projects over 3 million EUR
  • Master in Business Administration
  • ITIL and/or PMP and/or PRINCE2 Certification
  • Strong time management / prioritization skills
  • Excellent attention to Analytical and synthetically thinking/writing as well as excellent capability in writing and formatting documents.
  • Capability to lead complex teams
  • Very good Negotiation skills
  • Experience with subcontractor management
  • Knowledge about NATO AQAP-2110 standard or ISO 9001 management principles
  • Project Related Financial management skills
  • Knowledge about Commercial Terms and INCOTERMS
  • Capabilities to produce technical documentation
  • International working experience
  • Additional foreign languages
